Local Jungle is a small and lean agency with exciting scaling goals. The owner has been in online marketing for twenty years with fortune 500 client experience. We’ve been in business for over 10 years, and are starting to bring on a highly curated team of experts to bring us to the next level.

We offer local online marketing services which include: websites, PPC, local SEO, analytics, CRO, SMM, graphic design, & more. Our clients consist of family-operated small businesses that run high-end independent auto repair shops ($2-5 million in sales) that compete against dealerships.

We currently have twenty clients and routinely turn down new work because of bandwidth constraints. Many of our clients have been with us for 5+ years, which is extremely rare and proof of our superior services. We are now gearing up to grow as fast as possible without any drop in our clients' marketing performance.

Job Description

The Website Builder exists to build, optimize, and support high-converting websites for our clients. This role drives client results and business growth by owning the website development process from concept to completion, ensuring every site is built to convert, aligns with brand standards, and functions seamlessly across devices. They collaborate closely with the Senior Developer and Client Success team to deliver polished, performance-driven sites that support campaign success and elevate the client experience.

This is a key position in our company as website hosting, design, designing, building, and maintenance is one of our main services.

Responsibilities (Tasks Associated With The Role)

Own Full Website Build Lifecycle: Manage website build projects from start to finish, including setup, design, content implementation, quality assurance, and final delivery.
Handle Website Support Tickets: Respond to and resolve support tickets related to existing client websites within 48 hours (unless scope requires escalation).
Work With Designers to Bring Designs to Life: Source and manage designers to come up with great designs, and then translate those designs into fully functional and responsive websites
Perform Quality Assurance Checks: Conduct thorough QA on all builds to ensure design accuracy, mobile responsiveness, speed, and functionality across all browsers and devices.
Maintain SOP and Brand Standard Compliance: Follow internal processes and ensure every site adheres to company design standards and technical guidelines.
Escalate Issues to Facilitate Resolution: Proactively identify and flag larger-scope build issues, missing assets, unclear requirements, or system limitations to the appropriate team member for support or resolution to prevent project delays
Contribute to Department Efficiency: Offer feedback on SOP improvements and share insights to help the website department continuously improve speed, quality, and scalability.

Requirements (Expected Proficiencies)

Website Building Proficiency: Expert-level skill in building and editing WordPress sites using Gutenberg.
Technical Skills and Tools:
- WordPress
- Gutenberg
- Basic troubleshooting ability (browser dev tools)
- Understanding of child themes
- Moderate level CSS
- Proficient in HTML
- Figma and Photoshop from a consumer standpoint (not designer)
- Beginner to moderate SQL knowledge
- Basic understanding and usage of javascript event listeners
Quality Assurance and Attention to Detail: Able to spot and correct design, formatting, and functional errors before site delivery to ensure consistent quality and performance.
Copy Formatting and Visual Design: Skilled at formatting homepage copy for readability and conversion, and selecting on-brand, high-impact images that enhance site aesthetics.
Ticket and Workflow Management: Capable of managing multiple build and support tickets simultaneously, with consistent delivery within turnaround standards.
SOP and Process Adherence: Maintains and follows documented processes to maintain brand consistency, team efficiency, and ease of collaboration with other departments.
Detail-Oriented: Committed to accuracy and polish across every site build and support task.
Reliable and Self-Directed: Delivers high-quality work on time without micromanagement; takes ownership of assigned tasks from start to finish.
Resourceful and Process-Minded: Solves problems independently and looks for opportunities to improve processes or tools.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Works well with non-technical teammates (like Client Success) to resolve missing asset issues or clarify vague instructions.
Ownership and Accountability: Takes responsibility for the timeliness and quality of every assigned build or support ticket.
